Big Brother 10 is a Done Deal for this Summer

Published by realfan at 5:00 pm under Entertainment Edit This

I can’t even tell you how excited all the Big Brother fans are starting to get now. Big Brother 10 is going to premier almost a month from now, on July 13th at 8 PM, EST. They finally settled on the cast a few weeks ago and are ready to go forward.

Yesterday, June 8th, Big Brother 10 had a casting call at CBS, for the biggest Big Brother fans to show up and shoot a promo commercial with the notorious “Evel Dick”. So, keep your reality TV eye out for the promo teaser for Big Brother 10 to show up on CBS in a few days.

Rumors and speculations to this season of Big Brother 10, have twists and turns, running rampant throughout the Internet on many of the blogs, forums and message boards. Many die-hard fans, believe that the biggest twist of all this season, will be the cast line up; pitting a few veteran favorites from past seasons, against rookie cast members.

If this rumor is correct, it could spell disaster for a few of the newbies, that may have watched the show before, yet don’t have the “on hands” experience of Evel Dick, Janelle or even the sly Doctor Will.

One sure thing about season of Big Brother 10 is, it will be much more insane than some of the past seasons before.

A few months ago, CBS was considering dumping their plans for a summer Big Brother 10. Season 9 did not fare well enough in the ratings for CBS and they had some concerns about moving forward so soon again. What can you expect, when you throw your Big Brother under the American Idol bus? Putting season 9 up against the same time slot of American Idol, had to be the dumbest marketing move that CBS had done in years.

This summer, CBS not only wants to keep it’s fan base for Big Brother, they want to gain a lot of new fans, too. You can count on this summer’s season 10, to rock our foundations of what Big Brother is truly all about.

Below, are three reality bytes from Big Brother 8, featuring that season’s winner, Evel Dick. Dick Donato has become Big Brother’s poster child for advertising these days; and with good reason!

I don’t think anyone in the cast, ever expected to have to deal with someone this obnoxious. Evel Dick helped that season to be the most viewed Big Brother ever to be shown before.

This is a video byte of Evel Dick dumping ice tea over Jen. This was almost minor, to what Dick did in other incidents throughout the season.

This video clip below, shows one of Evel Dick’s game strategies at work.

Season 8 had a few twists to it, from the get go. Dick’s estranged daughter, Danielle, was also a house member. They were estranged from each other and had not spoken for a long time. Dick’s ambition, while in the Big Brother house, was to reconcile with Danielle.

Even though they both had a lot of unresolved issues and animosity between them, father and daughter bonded together in a pact; covering each other’s backs through, to the end.

This byte below, shows what Dick and Danielle had to tell America on CBS’s morning news show, with Julie Chen interviewing.

I’ve never really watched Big Brother, but this summer is looking bad for reality TV. Celebrity Circus, Wipeout, I’m on a Japanese Game Show? Seriously? The networks are scraping the bottom of the barrel now. I wish they’d just replay the MXC rather than rip it off. On the flip side, I guess all the extra stuff like this on TV makes The Soup and Best Week Ever more worth watching.

I cannot wait for season 10 to start! It took me a while to get into season 9 with the couple thing, but hopefully this summer will be better!
